Meeting Dates for September

September 10th - Regular Meeting @ 7 pm
Please bring back your robes, if you took them home for the summer. Please arrive by 6:45 to dress as we will start promptly! Please bring any petitions that you have not already turned in and brush up on your part after a 2 month break

September 24th - Initiation Meeting @ 7 pm
Formals! We will be having an initation as well as hosting our friends from several other Bethels who will be assisting us with the initiation. Please have your part memorized for initiation (if you do not have your part memorized the Guardian may appoint someone else to serve in your office for the evening).

Last Chance Summer Fun!

On Sunday, we will be having a last-chance summer fun event with a pool party and potluck at Sarah N's house. This is a great opportunity to invite your friends to learn more about Job's Daughters and to have a great time! We will open the pool for swimming at 2, with a potluck at 4 pm. Sarah will provide burgers, dogs, etc., and we need everyone else to bring a salad or dessert.

An evite was send out for this event - which means, if you did not receive the evite that Sarah does not have your current preferred email address. Please email her and let her know where you would like to receive emailed information.

Following the potluck at 6 pm will be our September Guardian Council meeting. All line officers and Guardian Council officers are required to attend. Anyone else is welcome to stay and participate, if you like.

See you Sunday!

Supreme Session 2008 - Interest Survey

Fellow 66ers....

I'm conducting an interest survey regarding Supreme Session 2008 in Madison, Wisconsin. We will be able to make hotel reservations for next year's session starting September 1st. I am happy to book a block of rooms based on approximate total interest from our group. If you are interested in attending next year and would like to be part of the room block, please let me know by August 31st by replying to this post or emailing me. I promise it will be fun!

Calling All Petitions! Prospective Member Event the 9th

Okay, now's the time to step up! We are hosting an initiation on September 24th, and we're going to need several things in order to make this happen.

1. We need PETITIONS! I spoke with Gwen and Gina today and am happy to report that we have petition #1 coming our way as soon as Gina returns from her summer break. I know that there are at least 4 more petitions out there. The sooner we get them in, the easier it is for us to get AG John to check with the Lodge and validate the petition. So please help your Associate Guardian and get them to him or me ASAP

2. We need OFFICERS! I have spoken with the adults from Bethels #10, #19, and #20 and they would like to bring other daughters to help fill in the empty chairs. But if you ladies would personally call your friends at those Bethels and invite them, I am sure they would be much more interested in coming to help out. If you talk to someone who would like to help, please check with Kaaren about which stations we still need assistance with. Kaaren and Keely are in charge of allocating stations.

3. We need to have an INVESTIGATIVE Party! I propose that we host a pool party at my house on the 9th of September (time TBD). Please invite any future members to come (and bring their petition, if they have not already) as well as any other interested friends that you have. I will have a special prize from Supreme Session for each daughter from our Bethel that signs a petition for an initiate joining on the 24th. The 9th will be the last day to turn in petitions because we need to vote on the petitions at our council meeting (the 9th) and at our regular meeting (the 10th) prior to the 24th.

Call or email with questions. See you on the 9th!
